We’ve finally got around to building a Tree House for the Grandkids in the big tree at the top of the garden . First job was to weld together the steel support frames which were then bolted to the four main trunks. The next job will be to fix the planks to the frames to form the platform, and finally the treehouse building will be erected on the platform. Sam, Lucas, Tom and Jackson will be working with me on building the wood frames for the Treehouse building itself. First picture below shows the support frames for the Treehouse completed and in place. Second picture shows a rough impression of the shape of the completed job. There will be open space all around up to the roof above the bottom half which is boarded up to just under a metre high. The door will be at the back and the gang will get in by climbing up the footholds on the tree trunks behind the platform. Lots of work for the gang making the wood frames for the Treehouse construction, but as you can guess they can’t wait to get started ! |
