  • At last, our Family Holiday of a Lifetime at the Red Sea materialized during October. We feel so lucky that the logistics of getting ourselves, our three grown up children, and their wives and children, fifteen of us in all, worked out without a hitch.

We did have one panic when the minibus we hired at the beginning of the holiday suddenly cut to 25 miles per hour for the last ten miles on the motorway to the airport. Turned out it was running on Biofuel which clogs the fuel filter from time to time. If I ever was green, I ain’t green any longer !

For daughter Sara and family, it was the first time to the Red Sea, so we really enjoyed seeing their reactions to surroundings which by now were familiar to the rest of us, and for all of us to be together in that wonderful climate was just magic.

Pics below show the view from Sara’s apartment balcony, cooling off in the shade by one of the seven pools, gymnastics on the lawn,  some of the Grandkids in the apartment, a bit of peacock sculpture with the bathroom towels by our talented Egyptian housekeeper, Madge with Sara and family at the pool, and a shot of Madge heading for the Sculptured pool under the shadow of the mountains. Memories to treasure for ever !

  • You may not be green anymore, but I am green with envy.  I know how hard it is to get everyone together at one time, let alone for more than a few hours. Well done!
